Rennsport to add Laguna Seca and Sebring for free in 2026 roadmap

Rennsport’s Deluxe Edition is also getting a permanent price drop.

Rennsport Porsche 956

After a rocky launch last year, Rennsport has unveiled its plans for redemption in a 2026 roadmap.

Throughout the year, monthly updates will add a wealth of new cars, tracks and features for free alongside premium DLC.

Notably, next month’s free update will add the Hyundai N Vision 74 and Kuala Lumpur Street Circuit, as well as additional layouts for Road Atlanta and Fuji. April’s update, meanwhile, will expand the track roster with not one but two real-world circuits: Laguna Seca and Sebring.

Alongside the free update, next month also sees the release of Rennsport’s first premium car and track pack, with the Endurance Classics DLC adding the Porsche 911 GT1, Mercedes-Benz CLK LM, Porsche 956, Peugeot 9X9 EVO and the Le Mans circuit.

Rennsport Mercedes CLK GT1

This will be followed by the Touring Classics Part 1 DLC in May, which includes the Alfa Romeo 155 V8 TI, Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 EVO II, BMW M3 E30 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class V8, along with the Hockenheimring Classic circuit.

In addition to new cars and tracks, March will also see what’s touted as ‘updated championships’ with asynchronous leaderboards. This is a supplementary points-based system, based on factors such as your pace, position and precision. Your score will be added to an asynchronous online leaderboard for each in-game season. Additional ‘new championships’ will be added in paid DLC packs.

Within these championships, Rennsport’s AI, one of the racing simulation’s most glaring issues, will be revamped in a free May update. According to the developer, the new AI will boast “smarter situational awareness,” allowing opponents to “defend intelligently and execute overtakes more realistically.” New AI difficulty options will also be implemented.

Furthermore, the Deluxe Edition, which includes all paid DLC up to September, is getting a permanent 45% reduction in March, lowering the price to €38.49, while the Standard Edition price remains unchanged.

It remains to be seen if these updates can lure players back or entice new ones, but the amount of free content planned, combined with the price drop, is an encouraging step in the right direction.
