Sim racing game Rennsport has teased a third car for its upcoming downloadable pack, and it looks like it could be the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo.
The DLC will be called ‘Kings of the Ring’, and includes the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit (the Grand Prix and 24-hour layouts have previously been released).
In this shadowy clip, an LMP-style outline is showcased. With prior car teasers, the clips end with the headlights switching on. However, unlike the race-ready 919, the Evo-spec ditched forward illumination.
The model was used after Porsche quit the FIA World Endurance Championship to set outright track records. It did so at Spa-Francorchamps (although this time has since been beaten), and in June 2018, it lapped the Nordschleife in a scant 5:19.55.
Timo Bernhard drove that lap, which remains the all-time lap record.
