GRID Legends’ Enduring Spirit DLC adds longer multi-class races and Fuji Speedway

GRID Legends is a curious game, filled with a varied car list, a mixed-reality story and, perhaps, a lacking a clear identity.

Following its launch in February, one year of downloadable content packs is scheduled, to purchase individually or as part of a ‘Deluxe Edition Upgrade’.

With the second batch now available, 25th October 2022, Enduring Spirit features multi-class endurance races, Fuji Speedway and four new cars. Following on from the demolition derby-themed Classic Car-Nage, it’s quite the contrast.

New story additions

Eight new story elements are included within Enduring Spirit, as you play as Seneca Racing’s Lara Carvalho, with Yume Tanaka as your team-mate.

While you may be thinking that multi-class racing is already within Legends, they are previously a staggered start and wildly different. For example, junior formula cars against trucks.

This time, it’s a themed GT and prototype racing, where the aim is to win your individual class – much more authentic.

Four new cars

A social media teaser post earlier this month hinted at four new cars. From there, we published our estimations, and now we have the confirmed list:

  • Mazda Autozam AZ-1 Mazdaspeed
  • Bentley Continental GT3
  • Bentley Speed 8
  • BMW V12 LMR

Throughout the new story pieces, each of the vehicles is in use. They are useable elsewhere, for example in online multiplayer where even those without the Deluxe Edition or this individual DLC pack can try them if the host does own the premium content.

The Japanese circuit also makes its GRID series debut, interesting with four layouts. There’s with the chicane at Dunlop curve and without, but also each reversed. Because, GRID

New Trophies, Achievements and career events

Outside of the siloed new narrative missions, three new career events have been added. Remember, this is without the stories and focuses on car upgrades and championship unlocks.

10 new content-specific Trophies and Achievements are unlockable, too.

Several stability quality-of-live changes have been enacted too, following on the from the photo mode in July. The full changelog is below, and some in-game locations, such as London at night, will feature Halloween-themed lighting over the coming weeks.
