New career mode details revealed for single-player-focused sim Track Day: From Street to Circuit

Nascent racing game Track Day: From Street to Circuit entered full production earlier this year, with developer Apex7 Studios clear in its ambition to create a fleshed-out single-player driving career for motorsport fans.

A large part of the game’s embryonic intrigue lies in its laser-scanned version of Tor Poznań, Poland’s only FIA-accredited Grade 3 circuit. The game’s latest dev blog reveals more screenshots of the venue alongside details of the new ‘Polvo’ car currently in the works.

Track Day will see players start from the ground up in their racing careers, beginning with older, beat-up cars that can be modified, fixed, and upgraded into race winners. Prize money can then be used to purchase better cars from used-car and new-car dealerships, with an early look at its UI hinting at its clinical, original Gran Turismo-style execution.

Apex7 also revealed the newest car for the game, a facsimile of the infamously bad FSO Polonez. Built in association with Fiat, the Polonez remarkably remained in production for nearly a quarter of a century, with Track Day committed to providing many more unlicensed yet recognisable vehicles, including an already-teased BMW M3 E36 clone.

Although no release window has been given, Track Day is available to Wishlist now on Steam, and with motorsport-focused partners like ECUMASTER and Drive Squad already onboard, it could be a title to watch out for in future.
