Codemasters and EA have just released a winter-themed GRID Legend DLC pack today (26th January 2023). The new content, named the Winter Bash DLC, arrives as the fourth and final part of the game’s planned content update schedule.

The Winter Bash DLC includes eight new Driven to Glory story events where the game’s varied collection of circuits feature a wintry sprinkling of snow. And best of all, there are three new cars to tackle the slick surfaces. Winter Bash DLC owners will unlock the Bugatti Bolide, BMW 2002 Tii Race Car and the SRT Viper GTS-R drift car.

Also part of the content drop is five new Okutama Sprint drift routes, with 45 existing routes now having boost gates and ramps unlocked in the Race Creator mode. As an added bonus, team liveries found in GRID Legends’ single-player mode can now also be used by players.

But that’s not all. GRID Legends players can also now choose between two new nostalgic visual styles based on 2002’s TOCA Race Driver and 2008’s GRID games. Accolade hunters can also get excited by the prospect of ten new Achievements and Trophies to unlock. Bling.

Bugatti Bolide

The headline feature of GRID Legend’s latest content is undoubtedly the track-focused Bugatti Bolide hypercar. With an eight-litre W16 producing over 1,800bhp, the Bolide can propel its 1,240kg dry weight to an eye-watering 500km/h top speed. Yeah, that’ll do.

BMW 2002 Tii Race Car

A seventies classic, the BMW 2002 Tii oozes aggression thanks to its low-profile stance and flared wheel arches. It packs a punch in performance terms too, thanks to having over 200bhp, a snappy rear-end and all the weight of a flea on a starve day.

SRT Viper GTS-R Drift Tuned

The SRT Viper is an evolution of the bonkers Dodge Viper from 1992. SRT (a tuning brand within the umbrella Stellantis organisation) built Vipers between 2013-17 and their combination of over-the-top looks and ridiculous V10 engine (which Lamborghini played a part in, boring car trivia fans) made it a muscle car to be reckoned with.

Although the GTS-R is already in-game, the Winter Bash DLC adds a Drift Tuned version (appearing as the 2014 SRT Viper GTS-R Drift Tuned). And it won’t be short on power to initiate some terrific (snow) drifts.
