Next Level Racing Wheel Stand 2.0 announced

The latest piece of sim racing equipment from Next Level Racing is a redesigned wheel stand that stands on its own. The Next Level Racing Wheel Stand 2.0 takes the design of the first model wheel stand, added with feedback from more than ten years from the sim racing community, and optimizes it for the current day sim racer.

With a carbon steel frame that’s been laser cut and robotically welded, the Next Level Racing Wheel Stand 2.0 offers durability and adjustability. The rig can be folded compactly for easy storage, plus it has 10 points where the rig can be adjusted in height, distance, or angle for the right feel in most sitting scenarios.

One of the best parts about this stand is an added feature for racers on office chairs with wheels. There is a “cradle” or a small piece of metal that attaches at the base of the stand. When you put two of the wheels on the base of your chair in the channel, it will prevent your seat from rolling around as much while competing in virtual races.

The base plates for the wheel and pedals come pre-drilled for Logitech, Thrustmaster and Fanatec products. Both plates are part of the adjustable sections to get that right angle for driving on all sorts of seats. The new rig also comes with added support for gear shifters and handbrakes that can be added to either side.

To go further, if you want to turn the stand into a full rig with a seat and monitor support, that can also be accomplished with Next Level Racing’s “ecosystem” of products, such as the GT-Seat add on, or the monitor mount stand, or even a Next Level Racing motion platform.

The wheel stand on its own will cost €229 Euro, $249 USD, $349 AUD and £179 GBP. Euro and GBP prices have VAT included. Honestly, this might be ideal for sim racers on the go for that price point. Either that or for those who can’t keep a permanent rig at their residence.

Between this and the F-GT Lite, Next Level Racing has a decent assortment of portable or storable systems for those with less space or those that might want to take their racing on the go. Add that with the F-GT Elite rig, and all of the other Next Level products in the store, and there is likely something that’s perfect for every level of sim racer.
