Next Level Racing F-GT Elite Sim Racing Cockpit now available

The next level from Next Level Racing has finally arrived in the form of the F-GT Elite Sim Racing Cockpit. Announced back in May, the F-GT Elite was originally slated for a June release. August was the next scheduled plan due to the pandemic, but now it’s finally ready to go on 2nd September.

The F-GT Elite chassis is composed of an aluminum profile, offering authentic Formula, GT, hybrid, truck and tank seating positions. We briefly touched on it a few weeks ago when the iRacing-branded content was announced.

“Our vision for the Elite range was to innovate and improve functionality, aesthetics, quality, and design to deliver a new standard for how an aluminum profile cockpit really should be,” said Hess Ghah, CEO of Next Level Racing.

Yes, there will also be an iRacing edition of this cockpit with a similar subscription and branded stitching offer. The co-branded cockpit features special blue anodized components and a complimentary 1-year subscription for new users to iRacing’s service. Not bad for anyone starting out their iRacing career and in need of a place to sit down to do so.

THREE DIFFERENT F-GT ELITE MODELS

At launch, there will be three different models to choose from: The F-GT Elite Wheel Base Edition, the F-GT Front & Side Mount Edition and aforementioned F-GT iRacing Edition.

The differences are minor between the models. While both the Wheel Base Edition and iRacing Edition come with a wheel-mounting plate for just about every wheel under the sun, the Front & Side Mount edition is made specifically for sim racers with Direct Drive mounting needs. No direct drive, no worries. The Wheel Base or iRacing Edition should work without worry.

Each cockpit will be able to include premium add-on options. Those options include anodized Carbon Grey finish to the bespoke end caps and flex-free NLR Seat Slider and Bracket system. You could technically get the iRacing edition and pay a little extra for the Front & Side mounting adapter bracket. There are some other specific add-ons available on the NLR website.

“In setting this new standard, Next Level Racing, and in particular, our R&D team put countless hours into innovating and custom engineering improvements for the ultimate simulation experience rather than just yet another aluminum cockpit,” Ghah said.

NEW SEAT LAUNCHES ALONGSIDE

Besides the new Elite frames, a new Elite seat is available alongside. Per the release, the Elite ES1 Seat is “designed specifically for sim racing, providing great ergonomic support for the widest range of users in all seating positions.”

The seat will include “high-quality PU Foam padding wrapped in racing suede fabric,” and combines comfort with realistic expectations. NLR already offers a GT Seat as well as a Challenger Seat.
