Frontier Developments’ F1 Manager 2024 was released this week and we enjoyed it a lot, with our review stating that it ‘provides the best F1 Manager experience yet.’
However, we noted several bugs in our time with the game and Frontier has moved quickly to acknowledge and address these, compiling a list of issues it is either already working on or planning to fix soon.
Some issues will be resolved in a hotfix patch shortly, while others are still under investigation; including GPU-related game crashes and issues with contract counter-offers, among others.
What will be addressed in the game’s first update, however, is incorrectly enforced grid penalties for changing powertrain parts. In addition to this, Williams’ updated 2024 steering wheel will be added to the game.
Famously, Williams had been the only team on the gird to use a screen-less wheel, stating the reduced weight made it easier for Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant to turn. However, this changed in 2024, with Frontier moving to refresh the Grove cars’ cockpit interior.
Game crashes and other quirks will also be addressed in the hotfix, which is due to hit the PC version of F1 Manager 2024 this week. PlayStation and Xbox users will receive theirs early next week, with Switch players set for an imminent update to help address platform-specific issues.
