Hot-lap faster than a DTM driver to win prizes with RaceRoom

Free-to-play sim RaceRoom has unveiled its latest hot-lap competition, but this one has a twist: players will be going up against Turkish DTM star Ayhancan Güven.

The KW Studios-developed title’s newest ‘Beat the Pro’ competition has begun, with those who set the top three fastest lap times winning tickets to watch the DTM at the Nürburgring, allowing them onto the grid ahead of the doubleheader.

The hot lap competition is available to try for free using the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992), with players using the Nürburgring’s Sprint layout – just like the real DTM drivers will do on the 17th and 18th of August.

Güven is no slouch in a sim himself, having previously enjoyed success in the Le Mans Virtual Series and Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup, so RaceRoom players will face stiff competition from the Porsche factory driver when he sets his lap time on the 4th of August.

Of the 338 players who have currently set a time, Swiss sim racer Roland Senn leads the way with a 1.25.553, with the top 10 within a fairly spacious 0.6s. The competition is open until the 13th of August.
