UPDATE: The three cars included in the update have now been unveiled.

The seemingly interminable wait for a new Gran Turismo 7 update is nearly over, as 28th September 2023 will see a new patch download for PS4 and PS5 owners.

What will it include? No idea. We await the series producer Kazunori Yamauchi to post a customary teaser image on X, but before that a new Gr.4 Mazda 3 racing car has been spotted at a Mazda Spirit Racing event in Japan – although there’s no confirmation of release just yet.

At the recent Gran Turismo World Series Showdown event, new trackside banners were present at Suzuka too. Again, no confirmation of inclusion yet. Of note, the last time there was a new track for the title was way back in February with Grand Valley Speedway.

It’s been a lengthy wait for further content from developers Polyphony Digital, the last update arriving close to two months prior on 7th August. Then, there was a Chevrolet Corvette C1 and Maserati MC20, with the Toyota GR Corolla and ambulance in tow.

The servers will be offline for two hours in the morning, after their resumption, we expect the update to be functional. What would you like to see? Let us know in the comments below. Also, listen to our latest podcast episode with Gran Turismo 7 content creator Rory Alexander.
