The current home of the Japanese Grand Prix changed its logo last year, from a turquoise name and chequered flag combination to one that features a stylised track map. But, this has not been reflected within Gran Turismo 7, until now.

During the 35-lap wet-dry race at the venue for the Manufacturers Cup Showdown esports race, viewers could see that this new logo design was rendered in-game for the first time, noticeable especially over the start/finish straight.

Other trackside details have also been updated, with new sponsors and additional signage littered around the track, such as these over-track banners on the entry to the fearsome 130R corner. This keeps the circuit design in line with the current season’s real-world racing.

Whether these track updates will arrive in the publically available version of the Polyphony Digital-developer driving title remain to be seen, but the eagle-eyed of you will have spotted these updates and it may be indicative of further tweaks to existing tracks.
