Porsche's 991 Cup now in Rennsport, plus race ticket competition

Following a teaser earlier this week, evolving sim racing platform Rennsport has added another class of vehicle to its closed beta.

The 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 Cup has arrived, with all of its naturally aspirated 3.9-litre engine, sequential gearbox and lack of driving aids in tow.

Not to be confused the the ‘GT3’ racing category, which the Competition Company’s simulation already covers, the Cup forms the basis for several one-make championships, such as the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland.

Funny we mention that series, as those lucky enough to secure beta access will be able to enter a hot lap time trial competition and the quickest three win tickets to the final race of the season. That event will be supporting the DTM at the Hockenheimring, a track within the sim, 22nd October 2023.

The car lands with a Rennsport update later today, 22nd September 2023, and the competition is open from then until 5th October.
