Ahead of any official F1 2022 PC and console game announcement, its portable stablemate F1 Mobile Racing has teased the introduction of the latest Formula 1 car.

A teaser post by the game’s social media accounts today, 9th April 2022, shows a darkened silhouette resembling the official F1 show car used to demonstrate what this season’s new cars will look like.

This is attached to the words: “something is coming to #F1 Mobile Racing…”

What’s not clear at this point is whether this is just one single ‘F1 2022-spec’ car or the full current-season roster for the Apple and Android title.

At present, F1 Mobile Racing features the real-world 2021 season, having been added in September last year, before a career mode, Pro Leagues and the Algarve International Circuit were also launched.

It’s been a busy last 12 months for the teams at Eden Games, Codemasters and Electronic Arts who work on this title. In the recent EA Q3 2022 earnings call, CEO Andrew Wilson stated that mobile games are a “major strength” for the Californian gaming giant.

This is certainly true of F1 Mobile Racing, and we hope more details emerge soon for this burgeoning smartphone and tablet title.
