A new documentary series on the F1 game YouTube channel will focus on current McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo’s mindset and what it takes to win.
The production mixes insights from the seven-time F1 race winner with animations to bring his story to life, and somewhere in the mix the F1 2021 video game.
The first episode is now live, and while very brief, he discusses how different and dangerous sports help him to maintain an edge in Formula 1. This sounds like it could lead to some form of cross-over between F1 2021 and other EA Sports games like FIFA in the following videos – afterall Daniel was in the VOLTA mode of FIFA 21.
“Working alongside our partners at EA SPORTS, we are excited to explore new avenues and create content that gives our players a unique look at their F1 heroes away from the track,” said Paul Jeal, F1 Senior Franchise Director at Codemasters.
