The second expansion for Hot Wheels Unleashed, the Monster Trucks Expansion, was unveiled on Wednesday (20th April) and is available now for Hot Wheels Unleashed players to own. The Monster Trucks Expansion joins alongside the Batman Expansion which launched late last year.
This new expansion adds on five new special Monster Truck vehicles. You may already know the Bone Shaker, which now has a Monster Truck variant, but there’s also the Race Ace, Tiger Shark, HW Demo Derby and the 5 Alarm which are included.
You’ll also find the Stop Motion Studio, a brand-new environment that also includes four scenarios, namely the Jungle, the Quarry, the Desert or Ice Mountain, which fit the Monster Trucks theme perfectly. For those who will be building their own tracks, a new module called Smashing Rocks is also included.
The Hot Wheels toy line is still at the same 1:64-scale as a ‘traditional’ Hot Wheels model, but their giant wheels should make for a unique vehicle handling experience.
This, as well as some customization elements for The Basement, are included in the latest expansion. You can get it separately for £11.99/$14.99.
Alternatively, you can get the Hot Wheels Pass Vol. 2, which costs £24.99/$29.99 and will include nine more vehicles, three more themed customization packs and three more track builder modules.
To access the Monster Trucks Expansion, once purchased, visit the Hot Wheels City Rumble in-game and the 14 challenges are located below the main mission map.
