Monster Truck Championship PS5 Xbox Series

Following on from a release last October for PS4, Xbox One and PC, then a Nintendo Switch version in November, now it’s the turn of PS5 and Xbox Series to get versions of Monster Truck Championship.

Fans of simulation monster truck driving won’t have to wait too long to get their next-gen fix either, as it will be releasing 11th March 2021. Featuring 60fps and dynamic 4K resolution, this latest version of the game will certainly take a visual step forward.

Monster Truck Championship PS5 Xbox Series Gameplay

For the uninitiated, Monster Truck Championship is a fresh take on the world of giant vehicles, thundering engines and over-inflated tyres. It sees you take part in stadium-based stunt events, 1v1 knock-out events and regular race events across a career mode. There’s also a training introduction and online racing for eight people too. This all takes place in the USA, with 16 vehicles and a combined 25 location roster across stadiums and circuits.

The key differentiator here, as opposed to the more over-the-top style of Monster Jam Steel Titans, is a focus on simulation. It’s not easy to get the hang of, but that’s kind of the point. These giant creations aren’t straightforward to drive. They lumber about, bounce up and down, and are at times cumbersome. This game embraces these characteristics and includes a unique steering system whereby you use each analogue stick to control the front and rear steering simultaneously.
