Following the XBOX & Bethesda Games Showcase last week, Hot Wheels has been announced as the first DLC coming to Forza Horizon 5‘s Mexican landscape arriving on the 19th of July.

So, what theme is it for this month, I hear you ask? Well, Hot Wheels obviously.

The cars you can unlock this week is the Hot Wheels 2JetZ 2018 for 20 points and the Lamborghini Aventador J 2012 for 40 points.

As for the series itself, you can unlock the Hot Wheels Twin Mill 1969 for 80 points, and the Ferrari Dino 246 GT 1969 for 160 points.

This season also contains a new Treasure Hunt Challenge named Flying Customs, with the clue “Stingrays can fly? Get your coins ready to get up high for a round complete!”.

This challenge can be completed by jumping into the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427 and complete a Horizon Arcade with the Air event. This may take a while to find if you’re unlucky but be sure to keep a look out for this event while completing this week’s playlist.

Once you’re lucky enough to complete a Horizon Arcade Air event in the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427, an orange circle will appear on the western area of the map within Dunas Blancas and to the south-west of the Horizon Baja Outpost.

The treasure chest is located in the middle of an oasis type area, next to the central rock. Finally, smash the chest to gain 10,000 CR and 3 points towards the season.

As of Thursday, 23rd June, the chest may be invisible, but hopefully this should be rectified in a within the season.

This week’s photo challenge requires you to jump into any Hot Hatch and head to the Horizon Wilds Outpost.

To easily find a Hot Hatch within your collection, simply go to the cars menu and press Y/Triangle to filter down a selection, and then scroll down to find the Hot Hatch option.

The Horizon Wilds Outpost is found to the south-eastern area of the map in Gran Pantano and to the west of Ek’ Balam.

Simply head to the outpost, open the camera app by using up on the D-pad and tap A to snap the picture to gain the rewards.

Upon completion, the Tape Rewind Car Horn reward is yours. This can be equipped by heading to the cars menu in the pause screen and selecting Car Horn on the bottom right.

This week’s rewards available within Series 9’s Wet season are two cars, a jacket, and a car horn, alongside the always available Wheelspins.

The Pagani isn’t available to buy from the Autoshow, so now would be the best time to grab this car, but the Koenigsegg is available to buy for a cheap price of 2,000,000 CR. The available items from the Forzathon Shop this week are:

  • Pagani Huayra BC 2016 – 700 FP
  • Hot Wheels Orange Hoodie – 75 FP
  • Hot Wheels Monster Truck Car Horn – 75 FP
  • Koenigsegg Agera RS 2017 – 300 FP
  • 1x Super Wheelspin – 150 FP
  • 1x Horizon Wheelspin – 60 FP

As for the Weekly Challenge, you’re required to jump in the Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am 1977, a car available from the 50th Anniversary Stars & Stripes Hot Wheels Pack.

The tasks you’ll have to complete are earn 1 Star at the Boardwalk Danger Sign, beat a rival ghost and finishing it off with earning 3 Stars from drift zones.

If you are subscribed to the Car Pass downloadable content service, this week’s Car Pass is the Aston Martin DBX 2021.
