The Rokt the Rig selection process is nearing its conclusion, as Oracle Red Bull Racing Esports tries to find up-and-coming women’s sim racing talent.

Six drivers will be selected in total to become part of a training programme that will include a visit to the Formula 1 team’s Milton Keynes headquarters for a Driver Accelerator Day, coaching into 2024 and sim racing equipment.

“This talent search will go a long way to demonstrate that playing, enjoying and competing in esports is for everyone—regardless of sex, identity, background or income,” said Ash Vandelay, motorsport streamer, advocate for women in motorsports and Oracle Red Bull Racing Esports team content creator earlier this year.

Four women drivers have already been selected, with announcements expected later with the complete line-up.

Qualifying is now open for the third and final round until Sunday 22nd October 2023. A 20-driver grid will be selected from an open-to-all hot lap online leaderboard around Circuit of the Americas within EA SPORTS F1 23.

The main race will be broadcast live on the team’s Twitch channel, Friday 27th October at 5 pm BST.

To enter, simply sign up via the team’s online paddock and set your quickest lap time before entry closes.
