Yet another in-game time trail is now live within Gran Turismo 7, this time with in-game credits, a Porsche and a trip to the World Series World Finals in Barcelona up for grabs.
Within the Sport Mode section of the game, the Michelin Time Trial Challenge runs from today (19th October) until 29th October 2023 and is open to all. Simply set your quickest lap time around Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in a Porsche 918 Spyder (car provided if you don’t already own one) and there are in-game credits up for grabs once the competition closes.

As per usual for a Sport Mode time trial, get within 3% of the world’s best time and earn 2,000,000 credits, 5% 1,000,000 credits and 10% 500,000 credits. All entrants will also receive the hybrid hypercar in-game with a unique Michelin livery – a vehicle that usually costs 1,600,000 credits.
For the person who sets the quickest time, and presumably hasn’t already qualified for the event, a trip to the esports series finale is up for grabs plus a guest. Sony will fund travel, food and accommodation to the Gran Turismo World Series World Finals in Barcelona, set for 2nd and 3rd December 2023. Entrants must be over the age of 18, unless you are from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE, in which case, 21.

Road Atlanta is one of the finest real-world venues within Gran Turismo 7. The Esses heading into Turn 5 are the key to a quick lap time in our experience. Lean on the kerbs, maybe even use a touch of grass in Turn 4, helping pivot the 918 earlier than anticipated over the inside kerb of the following left-hander. The trick is to keep momentum through Turn 5, without triggering track limits on the exit by crossing the white line.
