Asetek SimSports is working on a fourth line of sim racing peripherals.
The as-yet-titled range is believed to sit underneath the existing La Prima products, currently acting as its entry-level range.
“Since we entered the [sim racing] market, the price points have just come down, and come down,” said Asetek SimSports CEO André Eriksen to Traxion on our latest podcast episode.
“The way we are addressing this is not by discounting our products, because then there’s no business.
“But we are actually launching a fourth, completely brand new, product line. It’s in tooling right now and will be launched in Q1 next year.”

A name for the new products is not yet known, but there is a ballpark pricing estimate of “between €500 and €600” for a bundle, according to the leader of both the SimSports division and the long-established liquid cooling arm.
This is expected to include a wheel base, steering wheel and pedals.
Currently, the most affordable Asetek SimSports wheel base starts at €787.49 for the 12Nm La Prima wheel base alone.
Asetek is also known for offering upgrade options across its product lines, something the Danish outfit is likely to continue in some form for its expanded lineup.
Asetek SimSports’ La Prima is the current entry-level model, but the new range will sit beneath it
“It will have the same modularity, but not made from [the likes of] real carbon because it’s more of a budget product.”
A decision has not yet been made if a prototype will be present at October’s ADAC SimRacing Expo in Dortmund.
