After eight months of waiting since its release, Forza Horizon 5 will finally be releasing its first DLC expansion in the form of Hot Wheels.
We will be talking about this more in-depth soon, but for now, there’s a new Festival Playlist to race through, more specifically the Spring season of Series 9.
To drum up anticipation for the impending Hot Wheels expansion, this Series includes some diecast model-themed vehicles.
For example, the cars you can earn this week are the Hot Wheels Nash Metropolitan Custom 1957 for 20 points, and the Peel Trident 1965 for 40 points.
Speed Machines
The Treasure Hunt this week named “Speed Machines” comes with the clue: “German sport hares are lightning fast, splitting any zone in three”.
This requires you to jump into the Volkswagen Golf GTI 1983 and earn three stars within any Speed Zone. If you have yet to own this car, it can be bought within the Autoshow for 20,000 credits.
Note that earning one or two stars multiple times does not count, so you must earn three stars within a single attempt to unlock the next step. The stock Golf would not have enough speed to complete a Speed Zone, so a tune is highly recommended.
An auto-upgrade to Performance Class A should do the trick, but you may want to tweak the final drive gearing. We did the Orilla Del Rio Speed Zone, but any will do.
Upon completion, an orange circle will appear on the southern area of the map, surrounding the Gran Puente bridge and to the north of Uxmal. The Treasure Chest can be found underneath the said bridge on the northwest side.
Starting from the road that travels underneath, put yourself so you’re lined up with the bridge and then head up the hill to the northwest. The chest can be found just as the structure starts to meet the top of the hill.
Lastly, simply smash the chest to claim three series points and 100 Forzathon Points. Even PC players can new see chests thanks to a recent update, rejoice!
PHOTO CHALLENGE #STREETBEAST
This week’s Forza Horizon 5 photo challenge requires you to take a photo of any Modern Muscle car at the Horizon Street Scene Outpost.
To find a Modern Muscle car, simply head to the Cars menu and press Y to filter the options, then scroll down until you reach Modern Muscle.
The Horizon Street Scene Outpost is to the north of the large cloverleaf interchange on the motorway, and to the east of the stadium.
Simply drive up to the outpost, open the camera app by using up on the D-pad and tap A to snap the picture to gain the rewards.
Upon completion, the “Don’t talk about Steet Scene” Forza Link reward is yours. You can equip this by entering the Forza Link area within the Online tab in the menu.
