Assetto Corsa EVO’s first phase of free roam will be released via an early access update on 9th December 2026.

This much-discussed feature allows players to navigate and explore a 1:1 scale replication of Germany’s Eifel region. A work-in-progress build is playable this weekend at the SimRacing Expo, Frankfurt.

Set around the Nürburgring Nordschleife, there are nearby villages, narrow roads and countryside. You can explore off-road alongside the asphalt.

A world map highlights points of interest, fuel stations (to refuel), and tyre replacement centres, while there will also be point-to-point Time Attacks with online leaderboards.

Alongside solo play, online multiplayer will also be available at this initial launch. Details are to follow closer to its release.

Following Version 0.10 in December, several further updates are anticipated, expanding the playable Eifel area.
