Given the game has been in development for 13 years and offers a huge roster of entertaining driving scenarios, missions, and even local multiplayer, the price is low and matches its current PC cost of $24.99.
Although specific UK and EU pricing has not been revealed yet, if the above trend continues, it may cost £19.20 / €22,50, respectively, which is some way off the average price for a new PS5 title.
Both PS5 and PC versions of the game will be developed concurrently, although the console version will initially release without the game’s World Editor mode and modding, with the latter at least mooted for a potential future appearance (the former has been ruled out completely, however).
In our early preview (read our comprehensive article here), we were blown away by how well the game ran on the base PS5 for the most part, though performance issues and crashes were common, with the number of AI traffic cars heavily affecting frame rates.
Despite this, the core BeamNG experience remains delightfully silly, with its soft-body damage model and authentic driving physics attracting a huge following.
