WATCH: Let’s play TOCA Race Driver 3, Episode 18

I’m graduating to the big leagues in this TOCA Race Driver 3 Let’s Play. This episode, I’m finally driving in the Formula 1 cars, albeit the ones from the 1980’s. I’m about three quarters of the way through the series, having driven most of the cars and tracks available under this title.

Last week in Episode 17, I was able to beat up on those AI IndyCar drivers at the ovals, so it’s like the game knew I was ready for a Formula 1 seat. That’s the proper progression, right? Indycar first, then Formula 1? No? Well, don’t count Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean, they were driving for Haas!

Anyway, this fantastic F1 ride is a 1980’s Williams Honda FW11B, one of the most famous of the cars of that era emblazoned with that classic blue, yellow and white livery. This 25th tier has four races, starting at Zandvoort, followed up by Spa, then Silverstone and finally wrapping up in Bahrain.

For some reason, TOCA Race Driver 3 programmed in a mandatory stop into only the first race at Zandvoort. On top of that, of course the race at Silverstone will be very, very wet. The other two races seem nice, hopefully I’m able to get through it and finish second overall to continue progressing forward.
