Wait is the Art of Rally team working on a circuit racing game

Dune Casu, founder of the independent racing game studio Funselektor, has openly been working on a new project. But what form the unannounced title takes is yet to be clear.

However, thanks to a teaser tweet by the studio’s lead, we have a new hint.

Described as a possible ‘2D sunset’, the depiction is of a fictionalised race circuit track map. This hints, in our opinion, at a new motorsport-related game.

Released in 2015, Absolute Drift from Casu’s first project, completed for a game jam session and inspired by Ken Block videos. This was then ported to several platforms, and as recently as this year, received a physical Nintendo Switch version.

This was followed by art of rally, a uniquely styled dirt racing title, that recently received an Indonesian expansion.

This third title will be created by a larger development team than past titles, although still diminutive. The artwork here has been created by illustrator Kyra Anderson. Further details on the next game remain behind closed doors, for now.
