The Live Fast Motorsports #78 Ford Mustang that was driven by BJ McLeod in yesterday’s Dixie Vodka 400 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway featured OUR. NAME. ON. IT!
We’ve been building up to this, what with Joey Stones’ track guide and John Munro’s first-play of Heat 5 with the Fanatec Podium Rim. But, holy moly, there was a real-life race car driving a Cup Series event fully liveried up with our design.
Come on, that’s cool.
And expensive, so you know, let’s hope there are enough funds left at the end of the month to pay for the website servers…
Ignoring that for now, BJ finished a respectable 34th, avoiding some of the typical NASCAR carnage at the Miami-based event, but falling foul of an unfortunate power steering issue.
The dramatic 267-lap race – split into multiple stages – was won by William Byron, his second career Cup Series victory.
We weren’t really watching that though – far too busy checking for the #78 each lap instead of watching the battle for positions!
“We had a great run going for our Traxion.GG Ford Mustang until we had to fight power steering issues that put us behind the wall during a competition caution. It was an unfortunate issue, but a growing day for our team! I’m so thankful for Traxion, this was a weekend I won’t forget.” – BJ McLeod, Driver and Co-owner, Live Fast Motorsports
“Big learning day today for our team. BJ never gave up after fighting power steering issues at the beginning of the race that forced us to the garage, putting us a few laps behind. Thanks again to Traxion.GG for all of the fun this week and a fantastic paint scheme!
“Racing is a huge family and community, and Traxion brings that to life with the gaming community. We really want to thank them for partnering with us and cannot wait to watch Traxion grow as well as us alongside each other” – Matt Tifft, Co-owner, Live Fast Motorsports
We couldn’t agree more. Best of luck to the Live Fast Motorsports team for the rest of the NASCAR Cup Series and for now, just soak up another image of a real NASCAR WITH OUR NAME ON IT!
Okay, we’re off to have a lie down now. Got a bit carried away there, sorry.
