Sony’s PlayStation VR2 is set to receive a hardware upgrade allowing users to play PC games on their headsets.
The PlayStation VR2 PC adapter connects to PCs via a DisplayPort 1.4 cable (sold separately) and unlocks Steam’s huge range of VR-compatible titles for PS VR2 owners to try, including seminal games like Half-Life: Alyx.
Of course, we will be concentrating on the sim racing side of things, so not only can PS VR2 owners play Gran Turismo 7 via their PlayStation 5s but they will also be able to access every Steam VR-based racing game too, including Assetto Corsa, rFactor 2 and Automobilista 2 (which is particularly impressive in VR).
On PC, the PS VR2 will require players to run both PlayStation VR2 and SteamVR apps (downloadable from Steam), treating them to 4K visuals, a110-degree field of view, PS VR2 finger touch detection and foveated rendering.

However, some PlayStation 5-specific features like HDR, headset feedback, eye tracking and adaptive triggers will not be natively supported on PC.
Support for the PlayStation VR2 PC adapter begins on the 7th of August, with units available to purchase from selected retailers and direct.playstation.com for $59.99 / €59.99 / £49.99.
