Simrep Engineering’s new sim racing dashboard, DDUXX1 was recently showcased at the Sim Formula Europe event.

Its first fully customisable LCD also can be programmed to the user’s needs with many different displays.

Attachable just above the steering wheel on a rig, this product can be personalised via the SimHub software for your own needs, with options such as tyre temperatures, lap times, relative box and weather conditions.

The display is very sleek, no more than an inch or two, and is within an aluminium enclosure. It’s the first such display by the outfit and it especially recommends use alongside Simucube and Fanatec wheels.

In our testing, the display matches seamlessly with the sim and is more visible when you’re sat down low in the seat than the inbuilt steering wheel display.

A pair of LED lights can be added to enhance the experience too. These lights can track RPMs, Flags, ABS and brake locking, or Traction Control, fully customisable to the needs of the driver.

The two products are made to work together, although are purchased separately. We tested them at the recent event in unison.

The future and an IndyCar collaboration

At Sim Formula Europe 2025 in Maastricht, the team was showcasing its new equipment as it was being tested by the public.

There was also a great display of their steering wheel offerings, including an exploded version. This gave thousands of sim racing enthusiasts the chance to see the inner workings of a sim wheel, and it was fascinating to see how detailed its P9XX wheel is.

It also has plans for the future, which include real-life motorsport involvement. Simrep has a partnership with MPI (Max Papis Innovations), in which it is making a new IndyCar wheel for Chip Ganassi Racing, which it hopes will be used in this year’s Indy 500.

The plan is to make a sim racing version after the event, to go alongside its other premium wheels, one of which is owned by Max Verstappen.

These are all plans, of course, but the prospect of a sim racing-inspiring wheel being used in one of motorsport’s Triple Crown events, and then coming back to sim racing, is exciting.
