In a rather cool and unprecedented move, Renault Trucks just revealed its latest models to the world via the means of Euro Truck Simulator 2.
The Renault Trucks T Evolution and Renault Trucks T-High Evolution both had their world premieres in the sim before the real-life versions were shown off in a move that further highlights both the importance of video games to real-world manufacturers and the popularity of ETS2.
Both trucks are available right now for the game for free via a Steam update and feature updated exterior design, driving position and cab layout. Let’s hope these new trucks work without a hitch…
Sorry.
To highlight the release, there is a livery design competition. Between the 7th of April and 25th of April 2021 ETS2 players can download images of the new Renault Trucks and edit them with their own creative flair. The designs can be entered into a competition where five finalists will receive a Thrustmaster T150 steering wheel and one lucky winner will see their design added to a real-life truck and in the game.
SCS Software’s Euro Truck Simulator 2 continues to surprise with a strong and vocal community some nine years after its first release. There is a steady stream of updates and adds-on for the title, something that shows no signs of abating anytime soon.
