Euro Truck Simulator 2’s V1.62 Open Beta is available to download and try now, adding a handful of new features to the evergreen trucking title.
With its Iceland DLC, UK Rework and Coaches mode in progress (and a console port apparently set for 2027), there’s a lot to look forward to in ETS2, with several smaller updates seemingly paving the way for bigger features later.
For the moment, however, check out everything included with V1.62’s Open Beta below.
Three new DAF XG+ liveries
The highlight of V1.62 is undoubtedly three new DAF XG+ trucks, coming in distinct Emerald, Sapphire, and 30 Years in Czechia Edition flavours. As you may have guessed, the latter celebrates the Dutch manufacturer’s three-decade presence in the Czech Republic, while the other two offer eye-catching green and blue liveries.
Each adds interior and exterior details, with the 30th Anniversary truck featuring unique cockpit upholstery and striking orange stitching.
The Iveco S-Way is the latest truck to feature the game’s new Improved Materials System, enhancing how light reacts to different cockpit surfaces and upholstery.
New garages
Developer SCS Software has worked on bringing new garages into the game for V1.62, across both default and DLC maps.
SCS states that the new buildings have been refreshed both internally and externally, replacing the simpler, older buildings. However, game performance shouldn’t be affected.
Goodyear Tyres Pack Update
Paint jobs in the Goodyear Tyres Pack DLC have been updated to reflect the American tyre giant’s updated branding and colours.
Game Radio
The in-game Escape radio station will be updated in V1.62 and will feature 11 new songs. The streamer-friendly playlist has also been rejigged to remove some tunes causing copyright issues.

To install Euro Truck Simulator 2’s V1.62 Open Beta, simply right-click on the title in your Steam library, then visit Properties > Betas tab > Beta Participation > public_beta.
