As was already reported, the futuristic, anti-gravity racing title Redout 2 released last month (16th June 2022) on a number of different PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms. We even reviewed the PC version of the title, with Tom saying that it “delivers rip-snorting speed and energetic visuals mixed with a steep learning curve for the anti-grav loyalists”.
We also reported back in June that although the portable Nintendo Switch version of Redout 2 was also scheduled to release alongside the others, it was eventually announced as delayed until the 19th of July, the devs citing that they would be needing “more polish time”.
Welp, it’s the 19th of July, and sure enough, the digital title is officially available to download from the Nintendo Store. Like the PC, PlayStation and Xbox versions of the title, this game is only available through digital download, there will be no physical copy to own.
Both the Standard and Deluxe editions are available to download now. While the Regular Edition retails for $29.99, the Deluxe Edition of Redout 2 retails for $44.99 and includes the Season Pass.
Separately, the Season Pass costs $17.99 includes 2 future DLC packs with new locations, career events, rewards and more. If you plan to eventually get the future DLC, you’ll save three dollars by getting the Deluxe Edition.
Check out our review of the PC edition above. We can only hope that the portable Switch version also resonates the same. Will you be grabbing this futuristic racer for gaming on the go with the Nintendo Switch? Let us know in the comments!
