Good news Gran Turismo fans, GT Sport has been updated.

Bad news Gran Turismo fans, GT7 isn’t out until 2022.

With GT Sport the confirmed platform for the upcoming FIA series of online events, today’s update – 1.63 – adds minor refinements.

From a Balance of Performance perfective, the crazy rotatory-powered Mazda RX-VISION GT3 CONCEPT has had its ride height and engine performance tweaked.

So, you see, you’ll have to wait a little longer for GT7, but the ride height of a Mazda has been altered. Think about that.

But wait, that’s not all. There have been changes to the online penalty system, the time loss for pit stops on various tracks has been changed, braking performance for Logitech G923 owners has been refined and the number of matchmaking regions for the FIA Manufacturer Series has been changed from five to three.

Curiously, even those the dates have been published, the in-game calendar does not show the upcoming FIA events yet, even post-patch. I suspect this will be arriving soon, however.

That’s it for today’s update, let us know on social media if you’re going to be playing during the upcoming online events – I certainly will be!
