New cars are coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione on 23rd March

It’s been a while since the last new paid downloadable content has dropped for GT World Challenge simulator Assetto Corsa Competizione – way back in February 2021 with the British GT pack – but some new cars will arrive on 23rd March 2022.

Following the free BMW M4 GT3 in November 2021, which has also made its way onto PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the next new additions still remain a mystery, however a new video teaser by the Assetto Corsa social media accounts has delivered some hints.

Also during November, the Porsche 911 GT3 CUP (992), BMW M2 CS Racing and Ferrari 488 Challenge were spotted in an official Assetto Corsa Competizione video.

In this new teaser, the sound of the Porsche’s engine is obvious, meanwhile, a Ferrari Esports event announcement on the evening of the 22nd will showcase some ‘special content’ – so our money remains on the 488 arriving. We believe we can also see the unique shape of the BMW’s wing mirror too.

However, other cards could be in the mix, as we think we can also hear the distinct V10 howl of a Lamborghini or Audi, so there’s still plenty to be excited for when the cars are fully revealed.

While pricing is yet to be discussed, we do know that these vehicles will only be coming to the PC platform for now. The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are not yet running the v1.8 physics released last year for PC, but we hope they follow in due course.

When the new cars are available, we’ll hopefully be able to go hands-on and deliver our impressions. Stay tuned for more information when it becomes available.
