KW Studios has been building hype for RaceRoom Racing Experience’s next update in recent days by showcasing new Super Tourers and the BMW M Hybrid V8 Hypercar.

Today, however, the Swedish-based developer has dropped four images of a classic ‘90s German track, which will excite fans of the sim’s period-correct DTM cars.

The Singen street circuit, also known as the Alemannenring, was used in the DTM between 1991 and 1995, and featured a layout similar to the Norisring, consisting mainly of right-angle corners and bumpy asphalt.

The track saw the likes of Frank Beila, Nicola Larini and Mr. DTM himself, Bernd Schneider, take victories, with fans treated to a close-up view of their idols as they negotiated the tightest hairpin this side of Macau (and also scene of Alessandro Nannini’s infamous revenge punt and subsequently fiery outcome!).

RaceRoom’s commitment to adding little-known DTM venues is commendable and will be very much appreciated by motorsport aficionados, with the likes of Fliegerhorst Diepholz and Avus already available to drive in the sim’s incumbent Opel Calibra V6 4×4, Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI and AMG-Mercedes C-Klasse cars.

RaceRoom is set to reveal more information about the track, plus the BMW M Hybrid V8 and the new Super Tourers, in its latest Gridtalk episode on the 19th June.
