RaceRoom Racing Experience will expand its roster of Class 2 touring cars, aka Super Touring, soon, with two further additions.
The Alfa Romeo 156 and Opel Vectra will join the likes of the Audi A4, BMW 3-Series E36, Honda Accord, Volvo 850 and Volvo S40, which were released as DLC last November.
In December 2024, RaceRoom told Traxion that more Super Tourers were in development, which has now been borne out. Traxion understands that yet more could be on the way after these two latest additions, too.

The two models were recently teased via social media, alongside mention of a possible touring car esports competition, but have now been unveiled in full.
Both cars were successful in the late ‘90s to early ‘00s and are replete with Super Tourenwagen Cup (STW) liveries and driver names. The German championship witnessed season-long entries by the Opel Vectra, with paint schemes represented here for the likes of Uwe Alzen and Roland Asch.
The model was also used in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) during the same era under the Vauxhall brand, although it doesn’t appear that this branding will be available for RaceRoom.

The Alfa Romeo, meanwhile, was predominantly used in the Italian series (Campionato Italiano Superturismo), which morphed into the European Super Touring Cup (2000) and European Super Touring Championship (2001). Fabrizio Giovanardi won four titles in the 156.
The manufacturer Alfa Romeo team also did a one-off STW race (held at the Italian venue, Misano) in 1999. Giovanardi won the first of two races there, with team-mate Nicola Larini in third. But in the second, they infamously crashed into each other.
Privateer drivers also competed with the model in the STW, and it looks like some Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC) liveries will be part of the offering.
Several matching tracks, such as the Norisring and Hockenheimring Classic, are available for RaceRoom.
There’s no release date for the classic front-wheel drive naturally aspirated cars yet other than ‘Q2’, but all is set to be unveiled during RaceRoom’s Grid Talk YouTube show, scheduled for Thursday, 19th June.
