Rennsport R1 Fall Season: TC Esports on brink of final following dominant performance

As he tried to make an overtake into the bus stop chicane, he made contact and went head first into the tyre wall, and compounded his problems with a poor rejoin too. This sent him to the back of the pack, and for Rennsport Grandmasters, made them a little less comfortable to reach the Final than they’d hoped. 

Sebring played host to race three, and this time Charlie Collins was able to take pole, fresh off victory in race one. No teammate right behind him this time, even after the start, which Oliveira was able to manage much better. 

It was the most uneventful race of the season so far, with very few battles throughout, but the three major teams in the group wouldn’t mind. Porsche Coanda would end the day second (55 pts clear), MOUZ fourth (40 pts clear) and BS+ Competition in fifth (38 pts clear). 

Now it was down to TCE to finish the job, and a Csincsik pole with Keithley alongside looked to do the trick. The result looked even more certain when the two led away cleanly and dominated the early laps, with Nunninghoff reasserting his speed in third place. 

However, with just a couple of laps to go, Csincsik seemed to start having braking problems into the turn seven hairpin. First, on the penultimate lap he spun completely and dropped to fourth, while on the final lap he made another error, dropping one further position to fifth. 

This allowed teammate Keithley to take a victory anyway, with a rather muted celebration, and TCE would nevertheless lead the standings after six races. The top six look likely to hold those positions in a fortnight and go into the Final at SimRacing Expo, but as we saw in the final race tonight, in Rennsport R1 you never know until the very end.
