Dave Cam’s Combo of the Week – TCR at Watkins Glen – 2022 iRacing Season 3, Week 2

It’s the second week of Dave Cam‘s new Combo of the Week series here on Traxion.GG! This season on iRacing, it’s not about the Track Guides and there’s no Pick N’ Mix Challenge either. Instead, Dave will be giving you his favorite combos on the calendar during the entirety of 2022 iRacing Season 3.

The first week, Dave was amped up about the new Radical SR10 at one of his favorite tracks, Road Atlanta. This week, Dave says his chosen combo is like a match made in heaven. That combo, of course, includes the iRacing Touring Cars and the recently re-scanned Watkins Glen International.

In the Touring Car category, you’ll find four TCs to choose from – The Audi RS 3, the Hyundai Elantra N, the Hyundai Veloster N, and the Honda Civic Type R. Dave picked the Elantra to go to battle at the booted version of Watkins Glen. When you add the boot to The Glen, it becomes a 3.45-mile or 5.55-kilometer venue where all 11 listed corners are utilized, including the bus stop.

As per usual, Dave is starting in the back of the pack. From 12th on the grid this week, can Dave make his way through the field and on to the podium? These races are only 15 minutes each, so he’ll have to work fast! Be prepared to see a combination of elbows out racing along with smart, methodical maneuvers.
