When was Assetto Corsa released?
Assetto Corsa was first released for PC (Microsoft Windows) on the 19th of December 2014, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions following in 2016 (26th and 30th of August respectively). A mobile iOS version of the game arrived on the 31st of August 2021.
Finally, an Ultimate Edition was released in 2018, featuring all of the sim’s DLC packs.

There are 178 vehicles in Assetto Corsa’s Ultimate Edition, including officially licenced content from Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, Audi and McLaren. Asseto Corsa’s roster of cars includes the likes of the iconic Porsche 917 K, the Ferrari F40 and the Maserati 250F 6C.
Assetto Corsa also features a range of GT3 cars, open-wheelers, road cars, historic vehicles and 24 Hours of Le Mans prototypes, making it an extremely diverse driving game.
Of Assetto Corsa’s 178 cars, 88 are base content with the remaining 90 arriving as part of paid-for DLC packs or included in the Ultimate Edition.
Which tracks are available for Assetto Corsa?
Assetto Corsa has 19 laser-scanned tracks in total, 15 of which are included with the base game with a further four added in DLC packs, where the game’s original line-up of 20 layouts was boosted up to 30.
Tracks featured in Assetto Corsa include Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Circuit Park Zandvoort, Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, Laguna Seca and Silverstone Circuit, with further DLC packs adding Nürburgring Nordschleife, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Brands Hatch and the Red Bull Ring.
Does Assetto Corsa have a single-player career mode?
Yes, Assetto Corsa has a single-player career mode with hundreds of Time Attacks, Races, Hotlaps, Drag and Drift events to beat. The career mode is challenging and will take a significant amount of time to finish, but the sheer volume of similar events makes it a largely samey experience.
Assetto Corsa also has a mammoth 709 Steam achievements to collect, plus PlayStation Trophies and Xbox Achievements.
Does Assetto Corsa have online multiplayer?
Assetto Corsa has an active online community, with numerous leagues, events and esports competitions utilising the platform. Until recently, Ferrari solely based its Ferrari Velas Esports Series on the platform, only adding Assetto Corsa Competizione events in last year’s competition (2022).
Italian racecar manufacturer Dallara also used Assetto Corsa for its esports tournament in 2022, with Traxion.GG’s Esports Drifting Association successfully using the sim for all of its events.

Although Assetto Corsa is packed with content, the reason it continues to be so popular nearly nine years after release is its popularity with modders. As a result, the Assetto Corsa community has created thousands of track and car mods, with other utility and livery mods also available.
