A set of Heusinkveld Sprints has been for many years the staple sim racing pedal for those on PC. In fact, two of the Traxion team swear by them, and now they are available in a new black colour.

Now, the black isn’t a huge leap from the existing anthracite (or grey) colour, and the main faceplates remain in the recognisable silver. But, it is a new option that provides sim racers with additional choice and they retail for the same price regardless of which shade you select.

The latest addition has also seen the Dutch company update its packaging to match, and in fact, it’s a complete redesign and there’s a new printed quick-start guide included.

But you wouldn’t want your baseplate in a mismatched colour, would you? So, that too is now also available with black accents alongside anthracite and so too is the Heusinkveld Handbrake – just in time for EA SPORTS WRC.

Apart from the colour, the hardware remains the same, which is to say for a not eye-wateringly expensive pedal set, they feel rock solid and provide a realistic brake feeling that you can tune almost infinitely. This adaptability was bolstered recently with the SmartControl Live software.

They feature progressive brake rubbers, slide bearings and a 120kg brake load cell with up to 65kg of pedal force.

The Sprints start from €643.63 for a two-pedal set, €762.65 for a three pedal set or €157.68 for the clutch pedal alone.
