Sensit’s new Gen3 haptic era: V2 software and the Apex Ultra Actuator lead the charge
Sponsored Content: SensitHaptics' Gen3 era begins with its innovative V2 software and Apex Ultra Actuator bass shaker, all of which are available to test at this weekend's SimRacing Expo.
SensitHaptics is entering its Gen3 era, bringing ever more detailed haptic feedback across its range of sim racing-focused pads and seats.
Sensit’s immersive products, including the MTC-P Extreme Haptic Pad, have revolutionised how sim racers experience driving sensations.
What began as a humble hobby project is now an industry leader in tactile feedback, but ahead of this weekend’s SimRacing Expo Frankfurt, it’s clear that Sensit isn’t resting on its laurels just yet.
New SensitHaptics V2 Software
Sensit’s SimRacing Cockpit App V2 Software has been rebuilt from the ground up, allowing players to experience the following sensations in much improved granular detail:
Engine
ABS vibrations
Gearshift jolt
Road textures
Bumps
Wheel slip
This last point is crucial: Sensit’s new software can simulate wheel slip in iRacing, something currently unachievable – even with SimHub.
“Our philosophy is built around three principles: precision, immersion, and uncompromising quality,” stated Sensit CEO and Founder, Benjamin Heese.
“We are not interested in making a seat vibrate simply because something happens on screen. We want drivers to feel what the car is doing, from the texture of the road to the behaviour of the tyres and the character of the engine,” he continued.
This unwavering approach to immersion has been transferred to V2, with enhanced customisability, lower latency, and better performance laying the groundwork for future Sensit advancements and products.
V2 was designed with customisability and adjustability in mind, making it easier to integrate with digital display units and button boxes via telemetry and audio data, or via third-party SDKs.
This also means its UI can be customised for large-scale professional use, such as sim centres, while keeping CPU and memory impact to a minimum.
Currently designed for Windows, Sensit will also be rolling out Linux, macOS and iPadOS compatibility in future updates.

New Apex Ultra Actuator
Sensit has also moved away from off-the-shelf bass shakers to its proprietary Apex Ultra Actuator, the biggest hardware upgrade in the company’s history.
Not only is it optimised to work in synergy with Sensit’s latest software developments, but it also gives the business greater control over its supply chain, ensuring customers receive prompt and complete deliveries.
“What makes our approach different is that we develop the hardware and software together,” begins Heese.
“With Apex Ultra, we can develop the actuator and our software as one integrated system. That gives us much greater freedom to optimise how effects are reproduced and how precisely we can control their physical characteristics.
“With Version 2, we have taken that approach even further. We are not just adding new effects. We have significantly improved the quality of the effects themselves, making the feedback more precise, more differentiated, and more convincing,” explained Heese.
“Gen3 units have been shipping to all customers for three months now,” Heese continues.
“Since the actuator isn’t visible, we’re notifying everyone who has already installed the Apex Ultra via a software update. Our goal is to create a positive experience retroactively for all customers who have already purchased the product,” he revealed.
This continuous improvement approach drives Sensit to refine its software and hardware further, resulting in greater sim racing immersion.
“Our ambition is simple: we are the benchmark for seat haptics in sim racing and keep pushing that benchmark forward,” states Heese, in typically uncompromising Sensit style.
