Your guide to Forza Horizon 5's Festival Playlist, Series 3 Winter

Winter’s Season has arrived in Forza Horizon 5‘s rendition of Mexico, or rather, the Dry Season is here. With the landscape getting cooler and bringing back the snow-covered volcano, this is the perfect time to take advantage of multiple snow-related accolades.

The cars you can unlock throughout this week’s Festival Playlist (Series 3) season are the Porsche Carrera GT ’03 for 25 points, and the Toyota Hilux Arctic Trucks AT38 ’07 for 45 points.

The Porsche can also be purchased from the Autoshow for 1,000,000 credits, while the Toyota cannot, and neither can it be collected via Wheelspins.

Both Photo and Collectible challenges net you five points towards the season, alongside some challenging requirements to complete along the week.

Also, a very quick message about the “Taco This” Daily Challenge which requires you to smash a Taco Cart, as these can be found within the centre of Mulegé with a purple, yellow and green striped fabric roof. Simply smash into these with your vehicle, and the challenge is complete.

An extremely simple photo challenge this week requires you to simply photograph Guanajuato at night. You may have to wait around for a bit for the sun to set, so it’s worth completing the PR Stunt and Horizon Arcade challenges will you wait.

Once night-time has arrived, drive to Guanajuato, open the camera app by using up on the D-pad and tap A to snap the picture to gain the rewards. Upon completion, the “Action!” Forza Link reward can be applied by pausing the game in freeroam, selecting the ‘Online’ tab, then Forza Link on the bottom right.

From here, choose a phrase you would like to replace, then head to the Exclamations tab at the top, and the phrase will be available for you to select.

For the impatient ones out there, however, we’ve created an event blueprint to help speed up completing this challenge. Simply head to the creative hub in the pause menu, select Eventlab, and then Event Blueprints.

Once on here, press select (if using a controller) to open the search tab, and then enter 438 323 337 as a share code. Once you’re in the session, simply follow the instructions above.

While your session is still in the dark, this would be the perfect time to complete the “Light the Beacons!” collectables challenge. Head to Dunas Blancas within the Baja area, located to the western area of the map, and smash into 50 floating Chinese lanterns.

This would also be the perfect time to complete the “Another One Lights the Dust!” accolade, as this requires you to smash into 25 lanterns while driving the Toyota AT37 or AT38.

The rewards available within Series 3’s Dry season are two cars, a jacket and an emote, alongside the always available Wheelspins.

Both cars within the shop are purchasable in the Autoshow, but it’s recommended to buy the Bugatti with your ForzaPoints rather than spending 2.4 million credits. The available items from the Forzathon Shop are:

  • Bugatti Chiron 2018 – 700 FP
  • Pink Blazer Jacket – 75 FP
  • Pop ‘N’ Lock Emote – 75 FP
  • Dodge Challenger SRT Demon – 400 FP
  • 1x Super Wheelspin – 300 FP
  • 1x Horizon Wheelspin – 80 FP

The weekly challenge is also very simple and does not require a tune to complete, handily.

The Jeep Trailcat can be bought from the Autoshow for 75,000 CR, a much cheaper option than last week’s Bentley Blower. The requirements to unlock five points towards the playlist are to complete three Dirt Trail events, gain 15 air skills, and win three Cross-Country events. Have fun!

PC game crashes

According to a new post by Forza Support, PC players who use Nvidia hardware and experience game crashes when trying to access the Livery Editor should roll back to a previous driver. Here’s hoping a future game update remedies this malady.
