A new Motorsport UK-backed championship has dropped, utilising iRacing’s range of LMDh and LMP3 cars.

Sponsored by sim racing apparel business Abruzzi, the 2024 Abruzzi Prototype Challenge sees drivers competing for a chance to win customised gloves, boots and shirts, with more prizes still to be announced.

Across a five-round season running between the 13th of August and the 10th of September, players will be split into Pro and Am classes, with drivers who have attained a 3,000 iRating at any point in their iRacing careers placed in the Pro category. Those who don’t meet these criteria are deemed Ams.

All races are 60 minutes long except the final 90-minute race at Silverstone, with rolling starts and changeable weather set to spice up the action.
