Official Gran Turismo 7 bundle from Thrustmaster called the T-GT III
Direct Axial Drive base (read, T598), plus Raceline Load Cell pedals and a Gran Turismo- branded wheel
Thrustmaster becomes Gran Turismo World Series partner once more
Thrustmaster has unveiled a new officially licensed Gran Turismo 7 wheel bundle: the TGT-III.
Whereas the previous TGT wheels were belt-driven, Thrustmaster’s latest Gran Turismo-branded wheel incorporates the company’s Direct Axial Drive technology used in the T598.
Compatible with PS5 and PS4, the TGT-III delivers 5Nm of constant torque, with an overshoot of up to 10Nm. Thrustmaster claims this provides “ultra-low latency” and “instant responsiveness.” Haptic technology also simulates effects such as gear jolt and engine roar in Gran Turismo 7.
The new bundle includes the now-familiar Gran Turismo-branded TGT wheel rim, featuring a leather finish and four rotary dials mapped for Gran Turismo, along with a load-cell pedal set.

Its wheel base design (and specifications) resemble the existing T598, which we ranked as number one in our list of the best PS5 racing wheels. Only this time, there is a Gran Turismo-branded round steering wheel as part of the bundle.
The kit also includes the Raceline pedals, with the usually optional load cell add-on included from the off.
The Thrustmaster T-GT III can be pre-ordered from 3rd December for £649.99 / €699.99 / $749.99, with deliveries expected to start before Christmas and coincide with the second part of Gran Turismo 7’s Spec IV update, which will add six new cars and the new Sugo circuit. The first part will launch in October, bringing six more cars and reprising Autumn Ring.
Thrustmaster rejoins Gran Turismo World Series partner list
As well as unveiling the T-GT III, Thrustmaster also announced that it’s now an official partner of the Gran Turismo World Series during round three in Singapore, joining Moza and Fanatec. It’s the first time the World Series has had three simultaneous wheel manufacturer partnerships.
“We have a long-standing partnership with Thrustmaster, who, over the years, have remained faithful to Gran Turismo by offering solutions which enhance the driving experience,” Gran Turismo’s creator Kazunori Yamauchi commented.
“The journey we’ve taken together has allowed us to extend the desired sensations through a steering wheel as technology and the game have evolved. We are delighted to welcome them as partners of Gran Turismo World Series,” Gran Turismo’s creator Kazunori Yamauchi commented.
“Meeting Gran Turismo’s exacting standards is no small feat. In the 16 years we’ve been working together, Yamauchi-san’s motto has remained a commitment to the game in every sense of the word; this has allowed us to take on projects that we believe no one else would have accepted in order to achieve that level of fidelity,” Gilles Raulet, Director of Development and Licensing at Thrustmaster, added.
“This collaboration continues to inspire our teams year after year because passion remains at the heart of our discussions.”
