We’ve had the season preview and the car draft, now the grid is set for the fourth GT Pro Series season, and thanks to the use of GTE cars, the form book could be out of the window.
The rFactor 2 championship kicks off at 99-year-old Autodromo Nazionale di Monza today, 9th August 2021, with 30 professional esports drivers all vying for supremacy down into Variante del Rettifilo on lap one. Eyes peeled!
Reigning champion, Rocket Simsport’s Jan von der Heyde, heads into the year with an Aston Martin Vantage GTE and a 20kg weight penalty for selecting a car eight other drivers had already plumped for.
The field includes the top 20 of the GT Pro Season 3 talent, the top five from GT Challenge Season 3 and five drivers who made it through the Relegation Playoff.
The entire championship will be live on the Traxion.GG YouTube channel and Facebook pages each other Monday, including the feeder GT Challenge series on Fridays.
Tune in this evening, from 7.00 pm CEST / 6.00 pm BST / 10.00 am PT / 1.00 pm ET to watch the best esports GT racing around. To get pumped for the action, you can listen to Monza’s official Spotify playlist – yes, this is a real thing.
