WATCH: rFactor 2 Race of the Season 2, Nürburgring – LIVE on Traxion.GG

The Race of the Season returns this Sunday (8th May 2022) with its second event since its introduction last season. Utilising the rFactor 2 Competition System, drivers have qualified for the latest event which will take place at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. A top split of 30 drivers will be broadcasted live on Traxion.GG.

The main event will be a timed race at 45 minutes in length with one pit stop required to complete the event. They’ll be utilising the fairly-new Ligier 320 LMP3 around the Green Hell, and they’ll line up how they qualified through the competition system. The Top 3 finishers will again receive a trophy.

This Race of the Season event is a fairly-new venture for the new rFactor 2 Competition System race schedule. Last season, the competitors took the BMW M4 GT3 to the new Daytona International Speedway and the event was won by Turkka Häkkinen.

Anyone can try out for these races, and season three will feature yet another different car at a different track. Still, many well-known names can be found at the top of the competition leaderboards. While qualifying is closed, the final grid will be determined by who decides to show up and race, and that will be revealed during the broadcast.

The top 30 drivers have qualified for the main event on Sunday 8th May at 9:00 p.m. CET / 8:00 p.m. BST / 4:00 p.m. EDT. The action will be LIVE on Traxion.GG’s YouTube channel. Tune in to the live action and cheer on your favorite drivers. As always, make sure to keep it pinned!
