rFactor 2 adds BMW M4 GT3 on 7th February

The 7th of February is shaping up to be a monumental day for Studio 397 and their rFactor 2 platform, as far as content is concerned. On Thursday, it was announced that the BMW M4 GT3 would be coming to the sim. This will come included in the large content drop which will also feature the Ligier LMP3 and the INDYCAR IR-18.

The BMW M4 GT3 is the latest flagship for the company, making its first official race debut in the Dubai 24 Hour earlier in January. It also took part in this year’s Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona this past weekend, although the teams competing under the banner did not find success in their respective GTD or GTD Pro classes.

Already available in other sim platforms such as iRacing and Assetto Corsa Competizione, rFactor 2 now joins that list to offer the BMW M4 GT3. The latest content adds to the ever-growing roster of BMW performance on rFactor 2.

This beast of a racecar has a P58 3.0-litre straight-six engine that can output up to 590hp. When it drops on Monday, it will be available on its own or as a part of a future, “wider” content pack. Stay tuned next week when the content drops for pricing details, as well as more details on that teased content pack.
