Assetto Corsa Competizione, or Race Trim Competition as I like the call it – the literal English translation – is an incredible racing simulator currently enjoying much success across PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
But, and it’s a big BUT, it’s not the most user-friendly racing game.
And when I say, ‘not the most user friendly’, what I actually mean is; the game doesn’t tell you anything!
I appreciate that ACC is a simulation, but in real-life there are rule books, team meetings and driver briefings to assist the drivers. Here, you’re left to your own devices, struggling to understand the menus, setups, driver ratings and even assign buttons.
However, the flip side to that is many joyful hours spent fiddling with settings – if that happens to be your bag.
If that sounds like too much effort, then fret not. Watch our Assetto Corsa Competizione beginners guide to learn a series of quick tips in under ten minutes. Then you can spend more time on the track, and less time on subreddits desperately trying to work out how to start your engine…
