Reigning, and youngest-ever, FIA World Rally Champion Kalle Rovanperä has revealed the cover for the upcoming EA SPORTS WEC video game.

In a recent vlog – where the Finnish star drivers a road-going Toyota GR Yaris and talks about what it takes to win at the highest level and his passion for drifting – he’s seen holding up a PlayStation 5 version of the yet-to-be-released title. PC and Xbox covers are yet to be revealed.

It confirms that the PS5 edition runs with his Rally1-specification Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT Yaris on the cover, alongside the official WRC seal of approval and a ‘from the creators of DiRT Rally‘ icon. The Xbox version will use the Hyundai and PC the M-Sport Ford.

The 22-year-old will be an EA SPORTS ambassador and leads the 2023 season standings at the time of publication, ahead of this weekend’s Acropolis Rally Greece.

After securing the rights to the championship for the first time in the company’s storied rally game history during 2020, this year kicks off what is believed to be a five-year deal for the Southam-based Codemasters headquarters to create an official virtual WRC platform.
