EA SPORTS WRC launched with a staggering 204 stages. Across the 17 locations, 12 are from the real-world 2023 World Rally Championship season, and five are additional fictional areas.
Each has 12 individual stages, with over 600 km in total. Of the real-world events, it’s notable that actual stage names are used, although that does not mean every stage is a 1:1 recreation of an actual test.
Since launch, the WRC 24 Locations & Cars Content, Le Maestros (included in the 2024 Season Expansion) and Hard Chargers content packs have added more stages and locations to master.
Real-world recreations
“Some stages are one-to-one recreations of a WRC stage,” said Ross Gowing, the game’s Senior Creative Director to Traxion.GG.
“I’m sure there will be a pothole somewhere that there’s not, but yes, someone are one-to-one.
“A small number of countries, we’ve used a real road that hasn’t necessarily popped up in the WRC calendar. For example, it’s actually not the specific Fafe [Portugal] jump, but real road that is quite close to that area of the country.
