New buildings, more neon, less traffic during competitive challenges and tweaked car handling – ahead of a full Season 6 content unveil, The Crew Motorfest’s significant quality of life changes have been detailed.

Back in November of 2024, a free new island was added, which was both most welcome and a little on the dull side. Consequently, we dubbed Maui as a “platform to build upon.

So developer Ivory Tower has done just that, build.

Arrived 5th March 2025, a notable update for Motorfest will include a revised Maui, with new and additional buildings, foliage, floating lanterns at night and neon-adorned bridges. Throw in a few fireworks, and the environment should be more vibrant, detailed and festivalish, if that’s a term (it’s not).

Grand Race is set to become more engaging

Motorfest’s main online multiplayer mode, the Grand Race, sees 32 players compete across a multi-vehicle-type event. Following the upcoming game update, this will now be themed, and said theme will change on a weekly basis. What those themes are remains unconfirmed.

Occasionally, Grand Races will appear with increased experience points and bucks (currency) to be earned and fresh weather conditions are set to be added to the rotation.

Publisher Ubisoft also claims a dynamic ‘no collision mode’ at certain slow speeds will avoid costly crashes. At the end of an event, you will be able to jump into another Grand Race without waiting for a 30-second countdown.

Performance parity

Historically, using manual gears in Motorfest was a clear speed advantage, but in theory, this will change as “both options should be competitive with each other” according to creator Ivory Tower.

The physics system underlying quad bikes will also be tweaked, alongside greater dead zone options when setting up controller inputs.

Over 60 specific vehicles are said to be tweaked both in terms of top speed and also high-speed turning ability. The full list is at the bottom of this article.

Greater fast travel, no traffic during Summit contests

A small, but potentially significant change, is great fast-travel points. According to the changelog, the manoeuvre should become possible at places where you have taken images.

One area that some players found frustrating during the competitive (i.e. online leaderboard enabled) Summit events was coming across traffic at awkward times. Traffic will remain during all other events and while exploring the open world, but they will now be switched off for the time-based Summit Contests. Result.

The complete quality-of-life change list is below.

The Crew Motorfest Season 6 release date
